Silver and Gold

A good friend of mine had a saying on her wall in her bedroom when we were growing up:

Make new friends, but keep the old,
One is silver, the other is gold.

This is how I feel about the Briggs family! I've mentioned them before, but Andrew and Luke have been friends for a long time, and I am just getting to know him and his wife, Kristin. It has been fun, especially since they have a little boy just older than Noah. They live in Arizona, so we don't get to see them much... but last week we got to see them twice!

On Sunday, they came up for dinner and Luke cooked. He should really cook more often because it was so tasty. After dinner, in grand tradition, Andrew busted out the guitar and the boys belted a few tunes. I caught a little on video but for some reason I am having trouble posting it.

Then on Friday, Andrew and Kristin ended up with extra tickets to the concert at the Conference Center. It was really fun to see the MoTabs perform with the Osmonds. And it was really good to get out without the little one in tow. It had been awhile!
