Welcome Baby Mia!

Mia Burbidge was born early this morning. After a full 40 weeks of waiting, she finally made her appearance. Michelle was relieved and everyone is so excited to have her here. She is so precious and so tiny! Taytum was really excited to have her baby sister her and kept saying, "Baby Mia is barely born!"

Silver and Gold

A good friend of mine had a saying on her wall in her bedroom when we were growing up:
Make new friends, but keep the old,
One is silver, the other is gold.

This is how I feel about the Briggs family! I've mentioned them before, but Andrew and Luke have been friends for a long time, and I am just getting to know him and his wife, Kristin. It has been fun, especially since they have a little boy just older than Noah. They live in Arizona, so we don't get to see them much... but last week we got to see them twice!

On Sunday, they came up for dinner and Luke cooked. He should really cook more often because it was so tasty. After dinner, in grand tradition, Andrew busted out the guitar and the boys belted a few tunes. I caught a little on video but for some reason I am having trouble posting it.

Then on Friday, Andrew and Kristin ended up with extra tickets to the concert at the Conference Center. It was really fun to see the MoTabs perform with the Osmonds. And it was really good to get out without the little one in tow. It had been awhile!

Aren't these boys so cute!!

Pioneer Day

We had a great Pioneer Day! I convinced Luke to go to the parade in Bountiful on the 23rd. It was hot, but parades are always fun and summer just isn't summer without one! That night, we went to the fireworks in Bountiful and they were awesome! Noah loved them, of course. We stayed in Bountiful that night and got up early so Grandpa Steve could take us all boating! It was such a fun day, but so tiring! Noah loved the water and playing in the sand. He also ended up taking a good hour long nap on Grandma's lap... in the boat. I'm sure the rocking and water sounds helped a little.

The kids loved it, but hated the life jackets! It was so hard to move his chubby little face! Noah would look from side to side when someone would say his name and really struggled with the jacket, but isn't he just so cute? I have a picture of my little brother looking like this in an oversized hat and jacket somewhere, probably a little older than Noah is now, but they look so much alike sometimes!

Loving the sand!

I love my daw dy

Noah has learned to definitely say three things: Da da, Doggy (pronounced Daw dy, really close to da da) and Tay tay (his cousin, who he loves so much!). It's fun to watch him learn and say these things although Luke is not convinced that he knows what he is saying. Occassionally we hear a Momma, but that one is definitely a coincidence. Anyway, Noah loves the dogs... my mom has a dog too, but he isn't as patient as Sahara...

Finally!

We have finally gotten a new cord for the pictures so I can finally share!!! Here are some of the many we took the weekend of July 4th!

Practicing with the self timer... we may need a little more practice.

These are of our favorite dancers at the Pow Wow. They were really good!
