Ramblings

When I think about blogging I get overwhelmed because I think of all of events of life that have gone un-documented. So instead, I decided to just skip it and start anew as if I have documented the last eight weeks of our lives perfectly. I may mention a few things that have come and gone. Just pretend you know what I'm talking about and ask questions if so inclined :).

I thought I would include a funny thing that Noah did the other day and for the life of me, I can't remember just now what it was. Maybe it will come to me as I ramble on about... whatever... I have spent my time mostly running like a chicken with my head cut off trying to fit in taking care of home, kids, husband, pets and working. My day should begin sooner to accomplish it all but I am a sleepy sort of person. I work for two hours during what I call, "quiet time" and then after the kids go to bed. This is another quiet time as Luke is still at school until about 10 pm. It is wonderful to have the extra money and use my skills I acquired at school and in life, but it is absolutely amazing how much a house can fall behind when you take four hours out of a day!

These are the times that I wish to have the boundless energy of my sister, Melanie. She has four kids, a small farm (so, like, 20 more pets), a work at home job and a police officer husband. Yet she manages it all with a frenzy and still have a good chat with at least 1 of her siblings and my mom, everyday! Plus, she looks fabulous doing it. At least, every time I see her which is about every six months! Hehe. Can't have a blog without a picture two blogs in a row, so here is out latest sister pic. Melanie is on my right, Mich on my left.

Luke finishes POST in a couple of short months and we search and pray for a job every day. We really, really, really don't want to move having just done it, so we are hoping for an agency in the near vicinity to hire him. But we both say that we will move if necessary. Can't think about that, it makes me tired!

The kids are wonderful. They really are wonderful kids. And most of the time, so well behaved. We are really struggling right now with Emma. She is at that rough stage where she knows what she wants but can't quite verbalize it. And don't tell me to try teaching sign!!! I have tried with that girl and she just tilts her head to one side and smiles. A smile so sweet you have to visit the dentist later. The other day, I was trying for the bizillionth time to teach her 'more' and she just looked at me and said, "More?" Tada. Same thing happened with Noah. They don't give a hoot about signing. Noah went through this same stage and so the fabulous thing is that I know there is an end to the squealing. I just hope it comes sooner than later.

Still can't remember the funny thing Noah did. Well, as the dryer has just buzzed, I will sign off and it will come to me at midnight right as my eyelids close. Maybe I will be just crazy enough to blog twice in one day.

Megan, I loved hearing what you guys have been up to! And don't worry about not playing "catch up" on your blog. Honestly, if you had to, you'd probably never touch your blog again. -- At least that's the way I would be! I hope school is going well for Luke and I'd love to hear about what kind of work you're doing. Are you free next week at all? I'm going to be in town all week visiting my mom, so I think Kelly and I are going to plan a couple of outings. We'd love to have you come if you have time! It's been such a long time since we've seen you!
