Silver Creek Walkabout

Living in Silver Creek is sometimes like living in a really large petting zoo. We often smell manure wafting over and hear the bleats of sheep, and the naying of horses. It's actually pretty fun! It was a beautiful day yesterday, so we took the kids for a walk to show Noah the animals around the neighborhood. He loved it. He was bleating back at the sheep and barking back at every dog we happened to pass.

The sheep live just right around the corner from our house. The man who owns them trains sheep herding dogs or something like that. In the spring and summer, he herds them around the block a couple of times a day. It is pretty funny to watch.

The horses are at my sisters house. She lives about 1/2 mile away. We saw lots of horses on our way there, but none of them would come close enough to pet. Every time Noah saw a horse he would point and say "Horsh!" He was so excited!
My country boys! So happy to be out of the house for awhile!
