not much goin' on 'round these parts

It's been awhile since my last post so I thought I would just throw out an update. I have had a blog block. Seems to be going around so I will try my best to make this somewhat interesting

We are busy living life and not much else. Noah is a busy, busy little man. He is always into things and exploring. And such a sweetie! He is always giving me hugs and kisses. His vocabulary grows day by day. His favorite words right now are elk, juice, Emma and showing the sign for potty. We are not attempting to potty train quite yet, but we are getting him used to the idea by showing him the potty, the squishy mini seat and the flusher, etc. He actually really likes just sitting on the potty.

Noah still amazes me daily with his appetite and I know my cooking is not good when Noah refuses it. He rarely refuses anything. Waiting for breakfast is our hardest part of the day considering he has quite grasped the concept of, "I'm making breakfast right now, please be patient." Most days he ends up with his head on the table crying while he waits.

Emma is quite a different story. She eats long enough to take the edge off her hungry tummy and gazes up at me cooing and laughing. She loves to talk and it is so fun when she tries to hold a conversation. She will stop talking, wait for a reply, and start talking again. She is such a doll when she flashes that big toothless grin. Luke and I can't get enough of it.

Emma has also started rolling over, although slowly. She rolled from her tummy to her back two times one day, once the next and hasn't since. She rolls up to her sides from her back or tummy, pauses there, and then rolls back to where she started. Now, I know that Noah had a large head and that is why it took him so much longer, but I am still amazed at how much Emma can do at such a young age. She can pull her legs under her and lift up her head and chest to look at us. I love it! I just don't want her walking before 7 months. I know that is highly unlikely.

Luke and I are just plugging away... working and learning to parent. We are both done with school which has freed up a significant amount of time. Yea for college graduation! It's strange and probably won't set in that we are officially done until we both 'walk' in May.

I am loving being the stay at home mom and love watching my kids interact with one another. It is so fun to see Noah communicate with Emma and then all of the sudden, they both start laughing. I am grateful to have this opportunity to be with them and teach them all I can. I know it doesn't come without sacrifice and I am grateful to me darling husband for encouraging me to do so. He is a great support to me and I appreciate him bringing home the bacon so I can stay home and make the bread.

I will have more to post soon as I have a brand new camera (thanks again, husband!). I'm still learning to figure it out, cause it is pretty high tech and I'm not...
