More Mother's Day Fun

Mimi and Hayden having a hug!

Noah and Uncle Brent!

Taytum loves her little boy cousins.

Finally, a shot with Brock, too! You can tell he is checking the sidelines and trying to figure out how to escape.

Noah is in to pulling crazy faces lately. I'm not sure how he knew exactly what one Taytum was pulling at the time!

A Happy First Mother's Day!

It was my very first Mother's Day this year and Luke kept on teasing me that he didn't think Mother's Day was that big of a deal and why should he bother getting me a present? By Friday night, he had me so convinced, I just knew that he wasn't going to get anything to mark this special occasion and the flower I got a church was going to be my big Mother's Day! Well, he surprised me Saturday afternoon with my favorite flower and a monkey that he had made at Build a Bear. The monkey is to remind me of my little monkey, Noah. We call him that because he is always trying to climb everywhere!

So, I ended up having a great first Mother's Day. We went to church that morning and the men took care of all the moms with not only the pansies but a chocolate bar too! Then we came home and made a big lunch for my mom, myself, and my sister and sister-in-law. It was yummy and we had a great Mother's Day together!

I love being a mom and it was fun to celebrate being the mother of Noah. He is so much fun and brings a smile to my face hourly if not more. He is so funny! He is getting so big and time is flying. I can't believe our first year together is almost over!

Unexpectedly Expecting

That's right! We had it confirmed today that Noah is going to be a big brother! Luke and I are surprised and excited. We are expecting our new little bundle of joy in November.

We are taking a poll on whether it is a boy or a girl... so take a look to the right and vote!

Cheese!

What can I say... I have the cutest little boy! He has learned to smile for the camera. We got about 15 pictures in a row the other night with a smile. It may have been because he was in the tub and loves bathtime!

Other news... well, there isn't much! We are just enduring the winter in Park City and plugging along in daily life. Luke has taken up painting... I'll let him decide if he wants to share his project. I'll just say that I'm impressed. He has more tests with SLPD coming up so wish him luck! San Fran is on the back burner til further notice.

More to come soon!

It's been a long time...

Well, it's been quite awhile since my last posting. The other day, my sister said that she has gotten addicted to blogging, and since I introduced her to it, I have been feeling a little guilty at my slacking. It's been an interesting and busy March so far, and now that things have slowed down a bit, I'll take time to do a little blogging.

We were sick again the latter part of February, no thanks to the fun family get together for Dylan's baptism. The flu is the worst. After recovering again, we decided to make some major change. We decided to move. Yep, again! We are grateful for the hospitality of Luke's parents over the last couple of months, but felt it was time to crowd them no longer. And with Garret coming home soon, it is going to get a little more crowded! We made the trek to Park City to stay with my mom for a time. It is still winter here! It has been snowing for the last four days or so and there is still a good three feet in the yard. Brrrr. Oh well. The main reason and biggest benefit to moving is that Noah now has a little space of his own. Which brings me to his update...

Noah is doing really well. Anyone that talks to me often will know that Noah takes after me in his sleeping habits. He is a really light sleeper and has been sharing a room (and often the bed) with Luke and I pretty much since his birth. Well, at my mom's house, he has a little room of his own and after the first week of adjusting to the new house, he is sleeping through the night! He is a new baby and I am a new woman! I have so much more energy than I have had in a long time! Last night, Noah slept for 8 1/2 hours straight! This is so monumental for us. It's been great! He is growing well and is still our big guy! He is also enjoying new foods like peas and green beans and learning to use those two teeth of his by gnawing on some Nilla Wafers!

Luke and I celebrated our two year anniversary on Tuesday, March 18. Time flies! We were lucky enough to have my mom watch Noah and we had a great evening out at Shabu (for Sushi... Luke's pick) and a quick gallery stroll on Main Street in PC. We ended the evening with caramel apples from Rocky Mtn. Chocolate Factory... yummy!

Luke is gearing up for two police departments. He begins testing with Salt Lake City Police Department tomorrow morning and will continue testing with San Francisco in the middle of April. Whew! He is excited and just wants this process to be over with! And Luke's birthday is coming up.

I am continuing to unpack and keep myself fairly busy with trying to find a job that I can do from home or that fits into the schedules of my mom and sister who are willing to help with Noah. We'll see how that goes! I can't believe that March is almost over. Luke's birthday is on Monday and he will be 27! Then, the month is over! Hopefully April showers will bring the May flowers that I long for. It's cold outside!
