Shower time

The Deters women showered Chelsie and I. It is so fun to prepare for the coming babies! We had a great time opening presents together. I'm sure many more shared events will come... what with the babies being due less than two weeks apart!

Matching outfits for the kids... one blue, one pink!
Robyn was very excited to give me this camo diaper bag. It says "Daddy's Baby" on it. This can be the bag that Luke hauls around!

Catch up

It's been quite awhile since we last posted. It was a crazy winter and things are finally starting to calm down a bit! I thought I would share just a couple of pictures and moments from the last few months.

Still feeling good with the pregnancy. The due date is confirmed as August 14, so not much more time left to go. I am growing a little bit more every day and after a hectic ski season, enjoying the slower summer season of my job.

Luke is the busy one now. He spends his time welding, at school and selling cars at Carmax in Draper (if anyone is in the market).

Luke went fishing for four days in Lake Powell and had a great time. The boys came home with hundreds of fish. Definitely a highlight of Luke's spring. I'm sure he can't wait to go back!

I got to spend four days in North Carolina this spring. My brother, Brandon, went on his mission there and we went back to see one of my brother's converts before he left on a mission to Chile. It was a windy and cold four days but lots of fun to see where my brother served and the Atlantic Ocean. North Carolina is beautiful and I would love to go back some day. Maybe in the summer next time!

We went to the Raleigh, North Carolina Temple on our first day there. It was beautiful and very small!

Family Fun

Getting together for dinner on Sunday is always fun. Here are some great pictures of the growing (and shrinking) family. We miss Garret! The bellies are growing, though. Isn't the wisteria tree beautiful?
Back row: Blair, Zach, Rondi, Jesse, Luke
Front row: Chelsie and baby, Michelle, Steve, Me and baby

I think Steve's belly is the biggest. Unfortunately, Chelsie and I are going to start passing him up any second.

It's a boy!

Found out today that we are having a boy! I will spare the pictures of anatomical parts, as it may one day embarass the little tike. Let's just say, however, that it was very obvious that he is a boy!

Luke and I were so convinced that we were going to have a girl. Can't even describe how convinced we were! So much so that when the tech announced it was a boy, I told her to keep looking around in there, because if she saw a boy, I must be having twins and there was another one in there. No luck, but we are still so excited to be having a boy!

A profile shot. He looks handsome already!

Cute little legs...

Filling out paperwork in the lobby. Luke felt it was important to document this moment, so I thought I would include the picture.

Not my best angle. Looking still kind of small, though, for 19 1/2 weeks! Even though I am only 19 1/2 weeks along, the baby is measuring at 20-21 weeks, meaning, he's probably going to be a good sized baby!

New Year's Announcement

Not showing yet...
Luke and I found out on December 7, 2007 that we are expecting our first baby. If our calculations are correct, our new little one will join us around August 15th. As soon as I found out, I announced it to Luke and he said, "Yeah, I kinda knew you were pregnant!" At first, I didn't think he was as happy as I was, but turns out he already knew and he was just holding out one me! Either way, we are so excited!
